So this has personally been a pet peeve of mine for YEARS! So bloggers let me talk to you like I would speak to my clients. Here are some tips and suggestions to help you.
So we are going to be straight and to the point because well that’s the way I am. Girl, your blog is not all about you. No seriously its not. If your a fashion blogger there is a HUGE difference. You are suppose to take thousands of pictures of you. Because you are showing off your outfit, whats in trend, etc.
But girl, if you have a lifestyle blog and every time I turn around you make a post that include 50,000 pictures of you and not about the event you are at, the restaurant you are at, the concert you are at, the event your hosting. Girl we got some issues.
Blogging in the lifestyle section is about showing the things your doing not a personal blog of you, you and personally brands and your viewers will get tired of seeing it. I have seen this happen a million times in my 9 years of blogging. They start with all these viewers, sponsorship but after about a year it all dries up. Guess why cause nobody wants to see your personal digital photo album. An album designed by you, for you directed by you guessed it YOU.
Here are some tips:
- Narrow the pictures of you to one to two per post.
- Post pictures of people at the event (yes you can include yourself in these.)
- Post pictures of the location of where you are
- Pictures of the food being served or drink that you think was awesome.
- Post what’s going on at the event or a short video of whats going on.
See there are a ton of other things you can post instead of YOU, YOU, YOU leave that to instagram, tumblr, facebook and twitter.
Till next time.
